Seeing “Content unavailable or version mismatch” when joining a vanilla server while a modded server runs on the same IP address?

This Windows game-client fix corrects the TCP/UDP port comparison used to select the server’s content information. Content validation stays enabled.

For the inspected Assetto Corsa EVO 0.9.1+release.6 Windows executable only. This is an unofficial, version-specific fix. User testing confirms it works correctly in-game, including when a modded server runs on the same host and IP address.

Install on your gaming PC

  1. Close Assetto Corsa EVO and extract the ZIP.
  2. Run Install.cmd. It checks your EXE version, saves the original and installs the fix. If asked for the game folder, find it through Steam’s Manage → Browse local files menu.
  3. If Windows denies access, run the installer as administrator. Full instructions are included in Instructions.txt.
  4. Launch the game and try joining again.

To undo the change, close the game and run Restore.cmd. Steam updates or file verification may replace the fix. The download is for the game client, not the dedicated server.
